With years of experience, competition winners & an ongoing growing clientele you are in the right place to advance your skills within the forever advancing sector of hairdressing.

This 4-day refresher course is ideal for hairdressers returning to the industry who would like to polish up their skills or experienced stylists who feel bogged down with their everyday routine & are looking for inspiration. This confidence building course is also designed for young stylists who have just completed initial training and wish to build confidence levels as well as basic techniques.

Style academy lectures are fully qualified with city and guilds and both experienced assessors, with between 40 years’ experience between them.

Course content  

• Health and safety 

• Client consultation

• Review of latest trends

• Revisiting styling, learning blow drying tricks, red carpet waves and various styles.

• Learning the art of hair up, incorporating prom and bridal styles.

• Being confident with your best friends… your SCISSORS, mastering graduating, slicing, chipping in and various ways to make you the cut above the rest.

• Covering a range of sectioning for balayage, root stretch, baby lights, colour contouring, Lightening process and Anti-yellow Toning process

• Demonstrations from educator each session

• Price guidance 

• Create your own looks on a training head and live models

• Be able to provide the correct aftercare

You will leave confident, inspired and be able to look at any style and know where to start.

 

Some tools and products will be supplied on the day, please bring your own scissors, thinning scissors, razor, combs and brushes. (kit is available if needed)

You will need to bring along a 16inch long training head mannequin. (we are able to supply if necessary, at a supplement charge)

Tea and coffee are supplied, lunch not included. You will have a 30-minute lunch break during the day.

 

To book onto this course you must have your NVQ / VRQ level 3 in hairdressing. Proof is required.

Students must come in smart professional clothing (closed toe shoes)
